Sahana Jayakumar, M.S.
Ph.D. Student
About Me
Sahana, originally from India, earned a master’s degree from UTSA. After completing her studies, she worked at the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Biomedical Research Institute, where she gained experience in molecular biology and immunology.
Research Topic
Sahana's research is focused on tumor immunology, specifically investigating the mechanisms governing CD8 T cells within the tumor microenvironment. Understanding how these tumor-infiltrating T cells is crucial, as it holds the potential to significantly enhance immunotherapy efficacy and advance the development of more effective cancer treatments.
